We are pleased to announce Brenda Meeker and Melanie Hoffner will once again facilitate our highly popular Train the Trainer workshops in 2025!

Note: Please see the Train the Trainer website for more information on this program. The information listed below is for the June event only. See Train the Trainer for the Informal/Formal Trainer for information on the May event. The prerequisite for attending the June event is you must have attended the May event or a past years' Train the Trainer event.

About the Workshop

In the world of remote/hybrid employment, many are faced with the need to deliver information and training virtually. This session held on June 10th and 11th will help you to take the information you learned in your Train the Trainer session and apply those skills in a virtual/remote environment. Both facilitators have experience with leading virtual training and will share best practices. Listed below you will find an outline of objectives to be laid out in this course.

Learning Objectives

  • Apply design strategies and tips for virtual/hybrid training.
  • Express topics to consider for virtual/hybrid training that differ from in-person training.
    • Integrate new principles and strategies into one of your own training plans. (Time provided during this session).
    • Practice implementing a new strategy/ies in a virtual or hybrid setting. (Time provided during this session).
    • Explore the definition and characteristics of a Learning Experience Facilitator (Hugget) and the three hallmarks of a Learning Experience Facilitator: Current Mindset, Updated Toolset, and Relevant Skill Set.
    • Apply brain-friendly delivery principles and strategies learned in the Train the Trainer session to the virtual/hybrid training environment.
    • Integrate brain-friendly principles and strategies, as well as those of a Learning Experience Facilitator, into one of your own virtual/hybrid training plans. (Time provided during this session).
    • Deliver a brief virtual/hybrid session live to practice implementing a new strategy/ies and get feedback. (Time provided during this session).

Prerequisite: Attendees must have completed any previous Train the Trainer session (this can include past years).
