Angelica's Bio:

Angelica Vannatta has 17 years of experience as a nonprofit professional, starting her career in fundraising for a national voluntary health organization. In recent years, she has transitioned to community-based programming and is a strong advocate for human rights and advocates for equitable opportunities and pathways to thriving communities. Angelica strives to inspire action and empower others to make a difference in the lives of those around them, so each of us feels supported, understood, and included and can live our best possible lives!!

Her resolve to improve lives is evident through her professional and volunteer work. As the Senior Manager of Community Outreach & Engagement at United Way of East Central Iowa, Angelica works to advance equity, drive social impact, and build community through civic engagement, volunteer leadership, and service opportunities. She currently serves as the Chair of the Marion Civil Rights Commission Chair and past chair of Inclusive ICR, among other volunteer roles.

Angelica enjoys football, running, and traveling when she's not trying to make the world a better place. And has been known to travel just to run a race or watch football, sometimes both!
