Panelist Sue Nelson, VP of Operations

SUE NELSON is the Vice President, Workforce Solutions – Employee Benefits Division at TrueNorth Companies.  TrueNorth is a professional services and insurance brokerage firm that provides insurance tools and solutions beyond the policy to protect what matters most, transforming your risk - into brighter opportunities!  Sue is responsible for a team of specialists who focus on the employee experience, engagement and process efficiencies as a part of overall business strategy.  Prior to her role at TrueNorth, Sue has spent 20+ years in Human Resource-related positions at Rockwell Collins and the Principal Financial Group including Benefits, Diversity & Inclusion, Talent Acquisition, Technology and Payroll.  She graduated from Upper Iowa University and has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa.  Sue and her husband Todd live in Lisbon and are active volunteers in the school district and community and serve on several leadership boards.  They have two daughters, Kali, age 16, a junior at Lisbon High School, and McKenna, age 19, a sophomore at Drake University studying biology.
